A script to screen writing competition for Russian writers with the prize being that DirectTV would co-sponsor the production of the winning script into a film. The remit of the contest was for scripts" highlighting multicultural experiences in an ever converging global environment" with special attention being paid to scrips exploring the themes of interaction between cultures, immigration, assimilation in a foreign country, expatriate life and other issues of particular interest to multicultural communities worldwide.
